AI technology's arrival has dramaticallyreshaped numerous sectors, altering employmentpatterns and economic distribution. This paperexamines AI's impact on empowerment andemployment in Bangladesh, highlighting shifts in skillacquisition, job displacement, and social equity. AI iscreating new opportunities in digital marketing,graphic design, and web development, and boostingfreelancing within the gig economy. However,automation raises concerns about job security,particularly for low-skilled workers. Ethicalimplications demand workforce adaptation, and therise of digital clusters offers both promise andchallenges, including reduced gender discrimination.To ensure AI’s benefits are equitably shared, policymeasures like education reform, retrainingprograms, and public-private partnerships arecrucial. Ultimately, while AI offers pathways toeconomic empowerment, it also poses risks to jobsecurity and social equity, making strategic reformsessential for an inclusive, AI-driven future inBangladesh.
